How to Format a Mobile Memory Card

Formatting a mobile memory card is a simple task that can be accomplished with a computer, regardless of the manufacturer of the mobile memory card. Formatting rearranges the storage sectors in the memory card, which makes the download and uploads speeds faster for the card. However, formatting will erase the data on the mobile memory card, which is something to consider before beginning the format process. 3. Right-click the mobile memory card and select "Format..."

4. Click "Start" in the window that appears to begin the formatting process.
