How to Frost a Beer Glass
Frosting a beer glass keeps a cold beer chilled longer than if you simply place the beer in a glass at room temperature. On a sweltering day, this is a welcomed bonus. Frosting a glass is very easy to do. If you know you'll want your glasses frosted often, you can prepare them the night before. If you are caught without a frosted glass and want to frost one in a hurry, there is an easy way to do that, too. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Arrange a clean area of your freezer for the glass. You don't want it to have frozen food stuck to it when you pull it out.
-
2
Turn on your kitchen faucet and run cold water. Wet the beer glass thoroughly, inside and out.

3
Place the glass upright in your freezer. In as few as 15 minutes to a half an hour (depending on your freezer's efficiency) the glass will have a thin coating of frost.

Tips & Warnings
You can also do this the night before and in this case many skip the step of wetting the glass first. Overnight, the natural humidity in the freezer will create a very thin frost layer on the glass.
If your freezer has an odor (from old foods, for example) this odor can get imparted to the frost on the glass. If this occurs, place an open box of baking soda (just as you would in your refrigerator) to absorb odors.
Do not try to freeze beverages in a glass. When the ice expands, the glass can break.
