How to Charge an Odyssey Extreme Battery
Batteries come in various models, including the deep cycle batteries made by Odyssey. The Odyssey Extreme battery is found often in boats and vehicles with heavy duty requirements, as it can be drained dramatically and then be restored to full charge easily. Occasionally, however, you may need to charge the battery manually to get it back to normal charge. Charging these types of batteries can be done in a few hours as long as you have the correct tools to do the job.

Adjust the settings on the battery charger to match your time requirements. Lower amperage settings will give you a deeper charge but will take longer to get the battery full charged, and the opposite is true with higher amperage settings. Note the time, then come back and check the battery in two hours to see if the battery charger shows that the battery is fully charged. If so, disconnect the extension cord, then take off the alligator clips.
