How to Remove Semi-Permanent Eyelashes

Remove semi-permanent eyelashes with olive oil.

Semi-permanent eyelashes are glued to your natural lash line giving your lashes more volume and length. You can get them professionally attached or try one of the at-home kits available in stores and online. Eyelash extensions can last from two to three weeks, if properly cared for. But when it is time to remove them, do not try to pull them off because you could end up pulling out your own lashes as well.

Things You'll Need

• Towel
• Cotton ball or pad
• Olive oil
• Oil-based eye makeup remover

Instructions

1. Loosen the eyelash adhesive by steaming your face for a few minutes over hot water. Fill your sink with hot water and drape a towel over your head. Hold your face about six inches from the water.

2. Apply olive oil to a cotton ball or pad. You can also use an oil-based eye makeup remover.

3. Rub your eyelid gently with the oil-soaked cotton until the eyelashes easily slide off.

4. Repeat step 1 and 2 for the other eye.
