You need millions of gold pieces to train skills and buy decent equipment on "RuneScape." Travel to Nardah, which is located in the southeastern area of Al Kharid desert. You must wear desert robes and waterskins to prevent death from thirst. Also, bring some food in case you are attacked by desert animals. If you can't find Nardah, open the world map interface.

Restock at the Nardah bank. It is located in the southern part of the town. Withdraw a decent weapon, the best armor you have, and several pieces of food. Also bring waterskins, unless you are willing to eat food to compensate for desert thirst. Bring cheap food like tuna, as using expensive food like sharks can actually make you lose money.

Go west of the Nardah bank. There are desert goats roaming this area. Attack them (they are very weak and easy to defeat) and gather their horns. These horns are used in the Herblore skill, and are worth 892 gold pieces as of June 2010. This makes for very fast profits. Use stat-boosting potions to speed up the gathering process.

Teleport to Varrock and go to the Grand Exchange. Sell your desert goat horns. If you plan on going back for more goat horns, restock on food and other supplies.

Tips & Warnings
Charged water tiaras may be used in place of waterskins. They hold unlimited doses of water (and cost three water runes each). This requires the completion of the "Dealing with Scarabas" quest.
