How to Put on Football Pants
Football pants have several components to them, which may make getting them ready for wear and putting them on seem daunting. You have to have all of the components together before you can put your pants on. These are the football girdle, pads and of course the outer football pants that are belted and laced. Putting it all together is simple and easy once you know how.

1
Turn your football girdle inside out and insert the hip, tailbone and thigh pads. The girdle is essentially a pair of spandex shorts that are worn underneath your pants and hold most of your pads. There are pockets in the girdle for the pads. The hip pads go in the top pockets, one on each side. The tailbone pad goes in the back of the girdle, at the top. The thigh pads go in the set of pockets beneath the hip pad pockets.

Turn your football pants inside out and insert the knee pads. There are pockets in your football pants to insert more than just the knee pads. But, because your girdle houses the rest of the pads, you don't have to use them. Just put the knee pads in the bottom pockets of your football pants. Turn the girdle and pants right side out.

3
Loop your belt through the football pants. The belt will come with the pants.

4
Put on your girdle, one leg through and then the other, and pull them up to your waist. Put on your football pants over your girdle in the same fashion.
-
5
Lace up your pants. There will be laces at the front of your pants that will already be laced. Just pull on the ends to tighten the laces and tie in a tight bow. Secure your belt over the laces. To secure the belt, which is usually an o-ring closure, slip the belt end through both rings and then up and over top one ring and straight through the next, tighten.
