How to Apply Scene Eyeshadow
When doing scene makeup--especially the eyeshadow--you can go by some guidelines, but ultimately you should "make it your own." The scene style is about expressing your individuality, so you should be creative with it and define your own special look. Scene eyeshadow often includes bright colors and lots of black and white. If you want some examples of what scene eye makeup looks like, you can look at photo galleries of "scene queens." Does this Spark an idea?

1
Apply an eyeshadow primer around your eyes, or mix some foundation with a drop of water in the palm of your hand and use that instead. Primer will keep your eyeshadow looking good longer.
-
2
Dip an eyeshadow brush in a light color and define the inner corner of your eyes with it from about the middle of your bottom lid to the middle of your top lid and blend the edges to soften them. This will brighten your eyes, especially if it's shimmery.

-
3
Apply a darker color of eyeshadow to the outer corner right under your brow bones. Blend it in an arch across your lid toward the inner corner and it will fade as you go. Add just a little more of the dark shade to your brush and apply it to the crease near the inner corner.
-
4
Dip your eyeshadow brush in some deep, true black eyeshadow and tap off any excess. Apply it to the outer crease so that it forms a "crescent moon" shape that blends across your upper crease and your lower lashes. Fade the black across your lower lid before it reaches your inner corner. Blend the edges well.
-
5
Line your eyes right underneath the lashes with black liquid liner to define them and add false eyelashes to finish off your scene look.
