Homemade Aftershave Lotion

Aftershave lotion cools your skin after shaving.

Your skin can become irritated after shaving. Many people like to apply aftershave lotion to their skin to soothe it. Aftershave lotion helps to close pores of the skin to prevent irritation. You can buy aftershave lotion at the store; however, it can become costly. Save money by making your own homemade aftershave lotion. It will have the same effect as the store-bought lotion but for a fraction of the cost.

Things You'll Need

• 7 oz. vodka (100 proof or higher)
• Glass bottle with lid
• 8 drops sandalwood oil
• 6 drops vetivert oil
• 3 drops neroli oil
• 4 tbsp. witch hazel
• 6 tbsp. rose water

Instructions

1. Pour 7 ounces of vodka into a clean glass bottle. Use vodka that is 100 proof or higher to provide the astringent qualities of aftershave.

2. Add 8 drops of sandalwood oil, 6 drops of vetivert oil and 3 drops of neroli oil. Secure the lid on the bottle and shake vigorously to incorporate the oils.

3. Add 4 tbsp. of witch hazel and shake up the bottle again. Add 6 tbsp. of rose water and once again shake the bottle. The aftershave lotion is now ready for use.
