Enjoy Vietnamese culture and food when you visit the country.

If you are considering visiting the 13th most populous nation in the world, Vietnam is your prospective destination. The Embassy of Vietnam in Manila requires applicants interested in visiting the country to apply for their visas in person. Before deciding whether to apply for a visa, determine if you are from one of countries not requiring a visa, as provided in the "List of Visa Exemption Agreements between Vietnam and other countries" document (see Resources).

Instructions

    • 1

Have a two-inch-by-two-inch photograph taken of you.

    • 2

Download a Visa Application Form from the homepage of the Embassy of Vietnam, Philippines (see Resources).

    • 3

Print the downloaded form and then complete the application by hand. Date and sign the completed form.

    • 4

Gather supporting documents for your application. These include bank statements demonstrating sufficient financial resources to cover your trip, a confirmed travel itinerary, and a passport, which must have a minimum validity of one month.

    • 5

Visit the embassy during office hours; the embassy is open from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The embassy is located at the following address:

670 Pablo Ocampo St. (formerly Vito Cruz)
      Malate, Manila

Submit your application and then pay the visa-processing fee in Philippine pesos or U.S. dollars at the counter when you arrive at the embassy. The fee may vary based on whether you are applying for a single-entry or a multiple-entry visa. As of June 2010, the fee for a single-entry visa was $30.

Go to the embassy to pick up your visa after it is approved. Processing a visa application normally takes five business days. For an additional fee, expedited processing within one business day is available.
