How to Compare Cheap Flight Prices
The days of turning up at the airport and haggling a deal at the check-in desk are long gone. Carrier's now advertise their deals online, through their own websites or, more often that not, through intermediaries. The best way to compare cheap flight prices is on the Internet.

1
Log on to a price comparison website to see which airline is offering the cheapest flights. Popular price comparison websites include Travel Supermarket, Sky Scanner and Fare Compare. There are many other comparison websites available, but these three are reputable and among the most popular.
-
2
Select the airport you want to fly from, the destination you want to arrive at and the date you want to fly. All the price comparison websites listed operate in a similar way, with easy-to-use drop down menus.

-
3
Compare the search results. Try selecting different dates or destinations to see if this makes a difference to the price of a flight. Flying mid-week and out of school holidays is often considerably cheaper.
-
4
Follow the same process for different comparison websites. The amount of commission these sites take varies, so the price of the same flight will be cheaper on some than on others.
-
5
Investigate package holiday deals. These include the price of flights, transfers and accommodation. Websites such as Last Minute offer a huge range of package holiday deals that can work out cheaper than buying flights and accommodation separately.

Tips & Warnings
It is worth having a look in newspapers and magazines for flight deals too. The Internet should always be your first port of call, though, as it contains the latest flight price information.
