How to Wax Asian Hair
If you're ever wondering how celebrities and models get that perfect disheveled-looking hairstyle, it is because of hair wax. Hair wax allows you to style your hair in a very natural-looking way. Unlike gel, hair wax typically does not have a shine and does not crust up, leaving hardened gel particles in your hair that look like dandruff. Asian hair responds especially well to wax because it is usually very straight, thin and wispy. Does this Spark an idea?

Waxing Your Hair
-
1
Choose your desired wax by looking at the control number. The control number is a number between 1-10. The higher the number, the more hold your wax will have. If you want to achieve a spiky look, then get wax with a higher control number. Otherwise, pick a wax with a low to medium control number.

2
Wet your hair slightly before applying hair wax. Make sure your hair is not too wet, or the hair wax will just mix with the water in your hair and evaporate.

3
Apply hair wax into the palm of your hand. Rub your palms together until the hair wax becomes a thick, warm cream. Apply this all over desired areas of your hair.
-
4
Use your fingertips to ruffle your hair upwards to make it have more volume. Asian hair tends to get flat very easily, especially if you're a guy. Ruffling your hair upwards with your fingertips will give a messy look.

If you are getting chunks of wax in your hair, try to spread it out more evenly. If you are still getting chunks, wet your hair more.
