How to Access an SMC Router
When you install an SMC router on your home network, you may need to access the administration panel for the initial setup or to customize the administrative settings. Your computer needs to be connected to the network and your SMC router in order to access the administration panel. You cannot secure your wireless broadcast or other network access without first logging into the router’s configuration panel.

Launch your internet browser and enter 192.168.2.1 in the URL bar to navigate to the administration panel for your SMC router.

Enter the default password, “smcadmin” when prompted. The password is case sensitive. Click "LOGIN".

Select the “Setup Wizard” if you want to configure your router during the initial setup process. Select the “Advanced Setup” if you want to configure the advanced settings of your router.
