Bit torrent is a type of program that allows you to download music, video and other media from other users online. The program works by downloading little pieces of the file from many different people, which allows for a speedier download for everyone. You can burn videos or music that you download in this way with the native program Windows Media Player, once the file finishes downloading in the torrent program.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install one of the various, and similar, torrent programs such as Bit Torrent, uTorrent or Vuze (see Resources).

    • 2

Right-click on the torrent file you downloaded and select "Open with" from the list that appears there. Select your torrent program and click "OK." The program will open and begin downloading your music or video.

    • 3

Click on the "Start" menu in Windows once your file finishes downloading and reaches "100 %." Click on the "Burn" tab. Click and drag your downloaded file from the your default download folder to the "Burn List" in the Burn tab in Windows Media Player.

    • 4

Insert your blank CD-R and click "Start Burn" to begin burning.

Tips & Warnings

  • Close other programs on your computer before you start burning.
