Determine the number of beaded curtains you would need. The standard size for beaded curtains is 36 inches by 72 inches. If you wish to divide a large room, then you will need several beaded curtains. Use the length of the area you are dividing as a guide. For instance, if the area is 9 feet wide, then you would need about three curtains.

2
Select curtains based on the material. Beaded curtains are made from various types of beads, including acrylic, bamboo, crystal, glass, mirror, shells and wood. Avoid curtains made of transparent glass or acrylic beads if you need the small measure of privacy that beaded curtains can provide. Instead, choose curtains with opaque beads. Select curtains made of bamboo if you would like to paint your own designs.

Choose from available bead shapes. Manufacturers use a large variety of bead shapes for beaded curtains, including balls, stars, flowers and raindrops.

5
Consider curtains with designs. Designs on beaded curtains range from simple, such as basic stripes, to complex, like a realistic picture of a beach scene. Some pictures are painted onto the curtains while others are created with beads of different colors that have been strategically placed.

Consider how easy they are to adjust. Depending on the material used for the bead and the way the curtain is constructed, adjusting width and length may be simple or perhaps not possible.
