Instructions

    • 1

Wash your body with an exfoliating body wash. Although this reduces the amount of time your tan lasts, it removes all of the dead skin and prevents your skin from drying out and peeling.

    • 2

Apply aloe to your skin. This helps sooth your skin after a sunburn.

    • 3

Apply daily moisture. This prevents your skin from drying out and increases the amount of time your skin stays tanned.

    • 4

Mix together a home remedy to keep your tan longer. Use 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1/2 tsp. lavender, 2/3 cup almonds and 1/2 cup oatmeal. Blend this mixture together and apply to your body. It adds moisture and vitamins to your skin, promoting healthy skin.

    • 5

Mix lemon juice and sugar and rub onto excessively dark areas of your body if you want to slightly lessen the tan. This is helpful if you have darker knees or elbows from sun exposure; it will help give you a unified tan.
