How to Enable a DNS Client Service
The DNS Client service provides DNS caching on older Windows clients. The service runs in the background of a Windows machine, and it speeds up caching by saving domain name lookups. Each time you access an Internet address on your computer, the DNS client service takes a snapshot of the resolved name, so the next time you access the domain, the computer does not need to look up the IP address. You can enable this service in the Control Panel.
