How to Create an HTML Email in Outlook 2007

Microsoft Outlook 2007 is set by default to create new emails in plain text format. Outlook can support HTML messages by modifying some of the message settings. HTML allows customization and design options that regular text or rich text format do not support. To create HTML messages, Outlook needs to be set to the HTML message format.

      Click "Tools." Select "Options."

      Click "Mail Format." Click the "Message Format" tab.

      Click the drop-down menu next to "Compose in this message format." Select "HTML."

      Click the "Internet Format" tab.

      Click the drop-down menu on the window that pops up. Select "Convert to HTML format." Click "OK."

      Click "OK" to exit the Options screen.

    • 7

      Click "New" to create a new message. Construct the message as desired.
