How to Make a Floating Candle Holder
Use floating candles to light a room when you want to set a romantic or relaxing mood. Make your own floating candle holders with a few inexpensive items from a craft store and a glass container that you probably already have around the house. Use a glass jar or bowl for a classic look, or get creative with a container like a giant martini glass.
Things You'll Need
- Glass bowl or other glass container
- Colored glass marbles
- Water
- Flower petals (optional)

Put colored glass marbles in the bottom 1 to 1 1/2 inches of the glass container.

Fill the container will water to a point about 2 inches down from the top.

Place flower petals in the water, if you want to add a romantic touch.

Float one or more candles, depending on the size of your container, in the water.

Floating candles, even though surrounded by water, can still pose a fire threat, so keep them away from anything flammable. Set your floating candle holders up on a flat surface with plenty of room.
