How to Clean Teak Wood Furniture

As teak wood ages it will turn a silvery-gray color. This is a natural process that happens to all teak wood furniture that is left to age. To maintain the look and characteristics of your teak wood furniture, a gentle cleaning should be performed once a year. Things You'll Need

• Cool water
• Mild dish-washing liquid
• Container or bucket
• Sponge
• Garden hose

Instructions

1. Create a solution of one gallon of cool water and 1/4 tsp. of a mild dish-washing liquid.

2. Saturate a sponge in the solution and wring out the excess liquid.

3. Wipe the teak wood furniture with the sponge. Start at the bottom and work your way upward.

4. Rinse the teak wood furniture with a low-pressure garden hose.

5. Allow the furniture to air-dry.
