How to Remove Cat Urine Odor From Wood Floors

Things You'll Need
- Paper towels
- Black light
- White vinegar
- Sponge
- Baking soda
- ¼-cup hydrogen peroxide

Blot fresh cat urine stains with paper towels.

Find old urine stains with a black light. Older urine stains can still emit an odor.

Disinfect the areas with white vinegar. Dilute the vinegar by mixing one part vinegar with two parts of warm water. Blot the area with a sponge soaked with the vinegar.

Rinse the area with damp wet paper towels. If you still notice an apparent odor, use a powdered enzyme cleaner such as baking soda.

Cover the area with baking soda. Pour ¼ cup of hydrogen peroxide over the baking soda. Allow it to set for 10 minutes, and then scrub the area with a sponge.
