How to Recover Pictures in Kodak Software

Recover your lost pictures.

Losing your precious memories can be frustrating, but you can recover lost pictures with some of the tools available in your Kodak software. It is critical that you back up your pictures often. Recover your pictures from a backup due to a crashed computer, virus or lost pictures that were not saved. Recover your edited pictures back to their original state when you have not saved the original and edited them with your Kodak software.

Things You'll Need

• Kodak software
• Backup space on hard drive
• External backup device

Instructions

Restore your Pictures

1. 

   Restore your pictures from your backup.

   Restore your pictures by choosing "Tools" and then "Restore My Collection".

2. Choose the name of the last backup you made or a previous backup.

3. Connect or insert any external backup devices to which you saved your backup, into the computer.

4. Choose a location to restore your pictures to or accept the default location.

5. Click "Restore" and then "Yes." Restart your Kodak software and open your recovered pictures.

Restore Original Pictures

1. 

   Restore original pictures.

   Restore original pictures that you have edited in your Kodak software by right-clicking the picture and choosing "Restore Original".

2. Click "Copy Original to Collection" and then "Replace Current with Original," which will restore your edited picture back to the original.

3. Open your original pictures.

Tips & Warnings

• Back up your pictures to more than one location.

• Back up your pictures by choosing "Tools" and then "Backup My Collection".
