  1. In Internet Explorer 8

      Launch Internet Explorer 8. Click on "Tools" from the top horizontal menu at the top of the window.

      Click on "Delete Browsing History."

      Click the button to "Delete All," which will delete all temporary files and history on your Internet Explorer 8 browser.

    In Internet Explorer 7

      Launch Internet Explorer 7. Click on "Tools" and then "Internet Options."

      Click on the "General" tab and then beneath "Browsing History," click the "Delete" button.

      Click on the "Delete All" button to delete all temporary files and history on your Internet Explorer 7 browser.

    In Mozilla Firefox

      Launch Mozilla Firefox. Click "Edit" and then "Preferences."

      Click "History" under the navigator category.

      Click the "Clear History" button and then the "OK" button to clear all temp files and history from your Mozilla Firefox browser.

Tips & Warnings

  • In each browser, you can uncheck any types of history that you don't want to delete before deleting your history, such as "Cookies" if you don't want to delete the cookies.

  • Beware of deleting the saved passwords history (which is unchecked by default in most Internet browsers) because then all your saved form information and passwords will be deleted.
