Instructions

    • 1

Position the largest flower pot in the location you have selected for the water fountain. It is difficult to move a completed fountain once it is built. Fill the drainage hole in the bottom of the flower pot with foam sealant. Fill completely to create a water tight seal.

    • 2

Position the water fountain pump in the center of the large flower pot. Turn the middle sized flower pot upside down and position it inside the larger pot. Run the water outlet tube upwards through the drainage hole in this flower pot sealing the drainage hole around the tube with foam sealant.

    • 3

Place the smallest flower pot upright on top of the middle size pot. Slide the water outlet tube through the drainage hole of this pot as well, cutting it off 1-2 inches below the top edge of the flower pot. Seal the drainage hole with the foam sealant.

    • 4

Run the electrical wire of the the water pump up the inside back of the large flower pot to hide it from view. Plug the pump only into a ground fault interrupter (GFI) electrical socket. Sockets that are not grounded should not be used in outdoor settings, or for applications that involve the use of water.

    • 5

Fill both pots with water until the top of the outlet tube is covered completely and water spills easily over the edge of the smaller flower pot. Adjust the flow of the fountain pump to a desired setting.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check the level of water in the fountain periodically, do not allow the water level to drop below the top of the outlet tube.

  • Allow the foam sealant to cure according to the manufacturers directions before adding water to the fountain.

  • Add additional height to the fountain by adding additional flower pots. The length of tubing needed depends on the height and number of pots used.

  • The water pump can burn out if there is not a sufficient amount of water in the fountain.

  • Run the water pump only according to manufacturer's directions.

  • Never leave children unattended near this, or any water feature.
