How to Reset a Multi Code Remote Garage Door Opener

Various garage doors are fitted with remote opener systems.

Among the most popular features in garage door technologies are remote openers. One variety of remote is the multi code remote, which allows you to control more than one garage with a single remote. These remotes, like single code remotes, can be programmed to your garage opener in just minutes. Whatever your brand of garage is, programming requires only your remote and access to the motor unit, and takes no expertise or previous experience with the system.

Instructions

1. Press and hold both buttons on your remote opener until the device's red indicator light begins to flash.

2. Release both buttons and press and release the button on the remote that you wish to program.

3. Press and release the "smart" button on your garage motor unit. This button is located on the back of the unit near the antenna wire.

4. Press and hold the button you are programming again for three seconds and release to complete the programming process.

5. Repeat steps one through four with the opposite button and a different garage door opener.
