Calendars are one of the most commonly created types of documents. Businesspeople use calendars to schedule meetings and project deadlines. Teachers use them to help their students track due dates. Sports team managers use them to plan out practice time between games. Regardless of what you need to schedule, making your own blank calendar is a quick task. Microsoft Word 2007 and Publisher 2007 programs both offer helpful templates, and the PDF Calendar website lets you create free custom calendars in PDF format with just a few clicks.

Instructions

      Open your Web browser and navigate to the PDF Calendar website (see Resources).

      Select the "One Month Per Page" option near the top of the page.

      Select your layout and text preferences. You can customize more than 20 aspects of the calendar, from the title and month of the year to shading, fonts, border sizes, abbreviations, page size, and page orientation.

      Click the "Download Calendar PDF" button.

      Save the PDF file to your computer when prompted.

    Microsoft Word 2007

      Open Microsoft Word 2007.

      Click the round "Office" button in the top-left corner of your screen and select "New."

      Select the "Calendars" option from the left-hand side.

      Select your preferred calendar type (e.g., "2010 Calendars," "Academic year calendars") from the types listed.

      Double-click the template you want to use. It will download to your computer and appear on your screen within a few seconds.

    Microsoft Publisher 2007

      Open Microsoft Publisher 2007.

      Click "File" in the top menu bar and select "New."

      Select the "Calendars" option from the left-hand side of the window.
