How to Clean Wilsonart Wood Laminate Flooring

Wilsonart carries an extensive line of flooring options, including laminate. Laminate closely replicates authentic hardwood, but costs only a fraction of the price. To get the most out of your flooring, it should be cleaned and cared for the proper way. Commercial laminate cleaning products are available, but they are costly and unnecessary. Instead, make your own homemade laminate floor cleaner from a few inexpensive ingredients that will clean, disinfect and leave no film behind.

Things You'll Need

• Dust mop
• Wet cleaning mop
• Spray bottle
• Vinegar

Instructions

1. Clean the floors every two to three days with a dust mop to collect light buildup.

2. Moisten a cleaning mop with warm water, wring it out and run it across the floor, following the laminate grain.

3. Mix 2 cups water and 1 cup vinegar in a spray bottle.

4. Spray the solution onto a small section of the floor at a time, and wipe with the damp cleaning mop. The vinegar will disinfect and deodorize without harming the laminate. Allow the flooring to air-dry. This won't take much time, as you have minimized the amount of water by applying the cleaning solution through a spray bottle.
