How to Set Up Wireless Email
You can setup a wireless email service by using a wireless Internet connection. You will need to connect your laptop or your desktop to the modem that is providing your Internet connection. A wireless email service is a great way to access your mailbox from anywhere, including home or work.

1
Buy a wireless router. These are available in almost all electronics stores. You may choose either a Wireless-G or Wireless-N router. Wireless-N is faster and more expensive than Wireless-G. See Resources to learn more and make a selection.
-
2
Attach the antennas to your wireless router. Pick a location that is very close to your existing modem. Make sure there is no metal object around it because metals can affect your signal strength.
-
-
3
Unplug your modem from its power source. Shut down your computer.
-
4
Disconnect the cable that previously connected your computer and the modem.
-
5
Plug the Ethernet cable (provided in the box) into the Internet port, typically located on the rear of your router. Insert the other end of the cable into the Ethernet post of your existing modem.
-
6
Power up your modem and your router. Wait until the green lights start blinking on both of them.
-
7
Start your computer. Insert the installation CD for your router. This should be included in the box as well.
-
8
Follow the on-screen instructions to name your wireless network and add a password to it. This will prevent unauthorized users from accessing your connection.
-
9
Launch your Web browser when you have finished installing the router.
-
10
Navigate to your email client from the Start menu or your web-based email service and enjoy the wireless email.
