Lay the two pieces of driftwood on a work table. Put the 6-inch driftwood 1 foot above the 12-inch piece of driftwood. Cut two pieces of fishing line 30 inches long each. Tie the line around the end of the 6-inch piece, 1 inch from the end. Tie the other piece on the other end of the 6-inch piece, 1 inch from the opposite end. Tie the string tight around the wood with knots. Super glue the knots. Tie the other end of the two 30-inch pieces of line on the 12-inch piece of driftwood. Tie straight down under the knots on the 6-inch piece. Super glue those two knots. Cut off any excess string.

Tie the four spoons onto the 6-inch piece of driftwood between the two strings applied earlier. Make sure they swing freely between the two pieces of wood. Glue those knots and cut off excess string. Now move to the bottom piece of wood. Tie line to a knife and fork handle. Add the beads above the knife and fork and tie each to the left of the left string on the 12-inch wood.

Repeat this process with two sets of a knife and fork. Tie them each in a row between the lines tied previously. Lastly, tie a set of knife and fork with beads to the right of the right string previously tied on the bottom wood. Leave as much line for each utensil to swing from as you wish. Make them different lengths or all the same. Glue all knots and cut off excess line.

Tie a 40-inch piece of fishing line to the top piece of wood. Double the line for strength before you tie onto each end of the 6-inch piece of wood. The knots should be on top of the driftwood. This is your hanger. Tie tight knots and super glue all the knots.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't get super glue on your skin.

  • Wear safety glasses when flattening the utensils.
