Consider using Google SketchUp if you want a free program and are proficient with 3D design. Consider buying programs from Punch Software that range from $9.99 to $499.99 depending on needs.

Install the program onto your computer. Insert the disk into your computer's disk drive and wait for on-screen instructions. Choose to run the program from your computer's Start menu if it does not automatically load. Familiarize yourself with all functions and gadgets associated with the program.
