How to Download Music from Limewire to a CD

If you've downloaded music onto your computer using the peer-to-peer file sharing program Limewire, you can easily burn this music to a CD using software already available on your computer. You don't have to download and install anything additional---Limewire saves the music to your hard drive, and Windows Media Player can burn that music to a CD in just a few minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your Limewire downloaded music directory on your computer. This is the directory that you specified when you installed Limewire for the first time. Don't do anything with this window---just keep it open on screen and easily accessible.

    • 2

      Click "Start."

    • 3

      Click "Programs."

    • 4

      Open "Windows Media Player."

    • 5

Click "Burn." Drag songs from the Limewire directory program window into the Windows Media Player burn list. Click "Start Burn." Windows Media Player will eject your CD burner's disk tray and prompt you to insert a blank disk. Do so, and close the tray. The music you downloaded from Limewire will now be burned to a CD.
