1
You have a selection of pillow fabrics from which to choose. Check online and brick-and-mortar stores to find fabrics in colors and patterns that match your wedding design and suit your tastes. Ring bearer pillows are generally made with satin, muslin or another fine fabric that can be purchased by the yard. Buy two yards of fabric.
-
2
Fold the fabric in half to cut two pieces to size at once, creating two matching halves for your pillow.
-
-
3
Cut the two pieces of fabric to the size you want, generally 2 to 3 feet wide and high for ring bearer pillows.
-
4
Stack the two pieces of fabric so the edges are flush. Secure the fabric pieces by placing straight pins around three sides of the pillow. You will now have a large fabric pocket.
-
5
Flip the fabric pocket inside-out. When using one-sided or decorative fabric, it's critical to turn the pillow inside-out prior to sewing.
-
6
Sew the pinned edges of the fabric with thread. Choose a thread color that matches the pillow's fabric. Edges may be sewn by hand or machine.
-
7
Stuff the pillow with batting or polyester fiberfill. Fill the fabric pocket as full as possible to create a soft, fluffy ring bearer pillow.
-
8
Using the same thread, stitch the open end closed by hand.
-
9
Add decorations as desired. Ring bearer pillows may be embellished with satin ribbons, silk flowers, rhinestones and any number of items found at craft stores.
