Above-ground swimming pools are an inexpensive alternative to traditional swimming pools. These swimming pools are made out of vinyl. 1
Drain the pool so that the water level is at least 1 foot below the punctured area. If possible, it is best to completely drain the pool. The patch has to be placed on the inside of the swimming pool.
-
2
Dry the punctured area with a towel. The vinyl cement works best if the area is completely dry.
-
-
3
Apply a thin layer of vinyl cement on the vinyl patch. The vinyl patch should extend at least 2 square inches around the puncture.
-
4
Push the vinyl patch over the puncture on the inside of the swimming pool. Apply pressure for at least five minutes to allow the vinyl cement to dry. Allow the vinyl cement to completely dry for at least two hours before refilling the pool.
