How to Import FTP Site Information in Dreamweaver
Creating an FTP connection allows users to upload files and make changes to their websites. Many times this is done with an FTP application, but with Adobe Dreamweaver users are able to create an FTP connection within their web development program. This allows them to develop and edit webpages in Dreamweaver, then upload them to directly with one application. To create a connection, users must know their website's FTP address, username and password.

Tips & Warnings
If Dreamweaver is unable to connect to your FTP site, temporarily disable your computer's firewall and try again. Also, try connecting without a router, as these devices have built-in firewalls that can prevent connections. Contact your web hosting company if you are unsure of your FTP address or login information.
