Get in writing.

Contracts serve as written agreements between two parties. One party is the contractor and one is the owner. When an owner needs a product or service from a vendor, a contract describes the agreement specifically. You may need to hire a contractor to drill a well for water. By stating what you expect, you can write a contract for a well water driller. Check with your state for guidelines to make your contract legal and binding. Laws vary by state about writing and formatting contracts. If you prepare, you can write your own contract.
