Check for Updates from Microsoft

1. Start Internet Explorer.

2. Go to the "Microsoft Internet Explorer" website (see Resources).

3. Look for an announcement that a new, updated version of Internet Explorer is available. Click the "Download Now" button to install it.

Check Windows Update from the Internet Explorer Window

1. Start Internet Explorer.

2. Go to the "Tools" menu. Select "Windows Update".

3. Click the link informing you of new updates.

4. Check for Internet Explorer updates. Select the check box for the updates and click "Download" if you want to install them.
