How to Burn Songs in MP3 Format From iTunes to a CD

In addition to allowing you to download and play songs in the MP3 file format, the iTunes music software will also allow you to burn these MP3 songs to a CD. You can then listen to that music CD on your computer, in your car or anywhere else you have a regular CD player. As long as you have a CD burner installed in your computer, you can have iTunes burn those MP3 songs to CD in just a few minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Put a blank CD into the CD burner you want iTunes to use to create your audio CD.

    • 2

Open iTunes via its desktop shortcut icon.

    • 3

Click "File" and then "New Playlist." A new playlist, called "New Playlist," will be created under the "Playlist" heading in the left column of iTunes.

    • 4

Drag any MP3-formatted songs from your computer or from your iTunes music library that you'd like to burn to CD into this new playlist window.

    • 5

Click on the "Burn Disc" button. This button is gray and can be found in the lower right corner of the playlist window to burn your MP3-formatted songs to the CD you put in your burner using iTunes.
