How to Know If He Is Cheating?

Cheating men can cause conflict in the home.

Men cheat on their significant others for a variety of reasons. Some want to feel appreciated, some want to feel young again, some just get a kick out of cheating. And just as there are different reasons why men cheat, there are different ways to find out whether he's cheating. Some men actually want to get caught, and are sloppy in the cover-ups of their misdeeds; others are meticulous in their cover-ups. But there are certain telltale signs to look out for when you suspect your man is being unfaithful.

Instructions

1. Check for changes in his spending habits. Is he suddenly spending more money? Does he hang out with his single friends and colleagues more? These could be signs that he's seeing someone else. Checking his bank account and credit-card statements for suspicious expenses is a good way to search for evidence.

2. Look to see if he's bought any new cellular phones or other communication devices. Cheaters sometimes have a separate cellular phone, two-way pager or other device that they use to hide their cheating ways from their significant other. When he's asleep or in the shower, check around the house for these types of devices, which may contain the names and numbers of people your man may have cheated with.

3. Think about whether your sex life with him has changed. If he doesn't appear to be interested in sex anymore, it could be a sign that he's getting it somewhere else, according to M. Gary Neuman, appearing on "Oprah." If he used to have a healthy libido but now has little-to-no interest in romance, it's definitely a reason to be suspicious.

4. Check the closets and other parts of the house to see if he's bought new clothes. They say that clothes make the man, and sometimes men update or upgrade their wardrobes if they have a new love interest, or are actively looking for one.

5. Ask him about his work. Sometimes you can piece together information about an affair simply by asking your man. By asking about his job and if he has any new colleagues, contractors, temporary workers, and so on, you can sometimes deduce if he's having an affair or not. The key is to ask in a nonchalant manner, not in an accusatory way.
