How to Setup Different Inbound & Outbound Email ISP's
Typically, people use the same ISP for both inbound and outbound email service. However, there are circumstances where you may wish to use different services. One such situation is where the ISP that normally provides your email service blocks connections to their outbound email servers from computers not physically connected to their network. This would prevent you from sending mail when you were traveling. Whatever your reasons for doing so, it is relatively easy to configure your email program to use different inbound and outbound ISPs.

1
Launch your email program and navigate to the account settings window. If using Windows Live Mail, click "Tools," then "Accounts." In the Accounts dialog box, click the account you want to use different ISPs, then click "Properties" to open the Properties dialog box.
-
2
Navigate to the section of the settings window that contains server information. If using Windows Live Mail, click the "Servers" tab in the Properties dialog box.

-
3
Enter the new incoming or outgoing ISP's email server information in the appropriate fields. You may need to change server type, login, and authentication settings to match the requirements of the new ISP. If using Windows Live Mail, the incoming server settings are all on the Servers page. You may need to click the "Settings" button on the Servers page to adjust some outgoing server settings.
-
4
Test the changes by sending an email message to the account, then replying to that message. This tests both the incoming and outgoing server settings.

Tips & Warnings
Record the old ISP email server settings before you change them. This will make it easy to go back to your old settings if necessary.
Research your ISPs carefully. If they go down temporarily or go out of business, you won't be able to send or receive (depending on which goes down) email again until you restore your old settings.
