How to Install Office 2000 on Windows Vista

Microsoft Office 2000 was released a few years prior to Windows Vista. Microsoft has stopped official support for Office 2000, and therefore no fixes or patches will be released for any issues arising from using Office 2000 on Vista. Microsoft has officially stated that Office 2007 and Office 2010 are the best options for use on Vista. That being said, it is possible to install Office 2000 on Windows Vista.

Tips & Warnings

  • Because Microsoft Office 2000 is not officially supported on Vista, not all functions may work as you'd expect them to. It is a good idea to upgrade to a Vista-compatible version if you plan to use the applications heavily.
