If you move, it is essential that you change your address with Revenue Canada. Not only will this ensure that your annual tax information is mailed to the correct address, it will also ensure that any regular payments you may be receiving from Revenue Canada, such as the GST/HST Credit, Universal Childcare Benefit, Canada Child Tax Benefit and/or Working Income Tax Benefit will not be interrupted. You can update your address online, or by mail, fax, or telephone.
Access the Revenue Canada website then log in to the "My Account" function, A link to the website has been provided in the resource section. You can review the current address and telephone number that is on file for you. You can also use My Account to change your address online, by typing in your new address information and saving your changes. If you have not yet registered your account, you can do so on the same website. To register, you will need your date of birth, a copy of your last filed and processed income tax return, and your current postal or zip code.
