Copyrights, patents, trademarks and other intellectual property matters are managed by the Israeli Ministry of Justice. Israel currently has no copyright office outside of the Patent Office, although an application can be made with an active patent attorney (a listing is provided on the Patent Office website). Although most of the functions of the Patent Office are conducted in Hebrew, an email address is listed under the "Contact Us" link to provide assistance with international applications.

      Read the English translation of the current Copyright Law of 2007 to familiarize yourself with the basic parameters of the law.

      Visit the Patent Office of the Israel Ministry of Justice website and select an active patent attorney.

    • 3

      Contact the patent attorney and provide all requested information. Usually obtaining a copyright is much simpler than registering a patent.
