How to Download a DS Lite Game
The Nintendo DS Lite is the company's dual-screen, touch-controlled gaming console. The machine features several features not typically included in a portable gaming console: besides the touch-screen, there is a microphone for voice commands, and an internal modem for playing online and multiplayer games. This can also be used for a feature called "DS Download Play." This is where the console's internal memory can be used to temporarily store games owned by other players or released for demo play.

Take your Nintendo DS Lite to a game store that offers the "DS Download Station" service, or have a friend with a DS Download-compatible game activate the game's Multi-Player mode.

Turn on your Nintendo DS Lite and press "A" or touch the touch-screen to access the system menu.

Select "DS Download Play" from the lower right pane of the system menu.

Choose the game you want to download from a list. If you are in a store that offers the DS Download Station service, the list will include all games offered by the Station. If you are playing with a friend, only their game will be visible.

Play the game until you want to clear it from your system. When you don't want to play any more, turn off your Nintendo DS to clear the game from system memory. There is no way to keep games on the console's memory after turning the console off.
