How to Set Up the MP3 Player in a JVC KD HDR1

You can connect an MP3 player to your car stereo system with the JVC KD HDR1 MP3 module.

The JVC KD HDR1 is an after-market car stereo that features a built-in HD antenna for improved radio audio quality. You can also connect MP3 players (such as a Sony Walkman or Apple iPod), as long as you have the JVC KD HDR1 MP3 module. This is a device that inserts into the CD drive of the stereo system, just like an older car cassette adapter inserts into a cassette deck and plays CD music.

• MP3 module
• MP3 player

Instructions

1. Insert the MP3 module into the CD drive of the JVC KD HDR1 stereo system. It is a circular disc with a wire running out of the middle and slides in just like a standard CD.

2. Plug the cable running out of the MP3 module into the headphone jack of the MP3 player you want connected with the stereo system.

3. Power on the MP3 player and the JVC KD HDR1. Press "CD" on the stereo system and the CD player begins to scan the MP3 module.

4. Select a track on the MP3 player and press "Play." The audio from the MP3 player streams through the connected module and plays through the car's speaker system.
