How to Remove W32.Sality.U

Hackers can use viruses to steal your credit card numbers.

You may use your computer to pay your bills and view your bank statements. Hackers understand this and thus create viruses designed to record your keystrokes. W32.Sality.U, also known as Sality.U, is a virus that records your keystrokes and communicates them to a remote hacker. Additionally, W32.Sality.U may reduce your computer boot speed, change your Internet settings and bombard your computer with popup advertisements.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Start" menu.

2. Type "Run" into the Search Programs and Files box and press "Enter." Or, if you are using a version of Windows prior to Window Vista, click on "All Programs" and then click on "Run." The Run box opens.

3. Type "cmd" into the Run box and press "Enter." Or, if you are using a version of Windows prior to Window Vista, type "command" into the Run box and click "OK." The Command Prompt opens.

4. Type the following into the Command Prompt. Be sure to press "Enter" after each command.

   “regsvr32 /u vcmgcd32.dll”
   “regsvr32 /u oledsp32.dll”
   “regsvr32 /u sysdll.dll”
   “regsvr32 /u syslib32.dll”

5. Restart your computer.
