Make flat-ribbon bow ties with a simple no-sew process that will take even a novice only minutes to finish. These bows will remain sturdy and beautiful with their simple design and basic construction.

1
Cut the ribbon into pieces. Cut one 12-inch, one 10-inch and one 8-inch piece, which will leave 6 inches of ribbon leftover for the center of the bow.
-
2
Make a loop with the 12-inch length of ribbon, overlapping the two ends by approximately 1 inch. Place the overlapped ends in the center of the loop and staple the ends together. Repeat the same process with the 10-inch and 8-inch pieces. You should now have three loops in graduating sizes.

3
Place the largest loop on a flat work surface. Center the next largest loop over the largest loop. Place the smallest loop in the center on top. Staple all three loops together in the center.
-
4
Find the center of the 6-inch piece of ribbon and place this ribbon perpendicular to the stapled loops, lining up the center of the 6-inch ribbon and the center point of the stapled ribbons. Pull the ends of the ribbon to the backside of the stapled loops.
-
5
Overlap the ends of the ribbon on the backside of the loops by approximately 1 inch. Cut off any excess ribbon with the scissors.
-
6
Heat up the hot glue gun and glue the two ends of the ribbon together on the backside of the stapled loops to hold the ribbon in place.
