How to Install Sims 2 Pets With Sims 2 Double Deluxe
The Sims 2 “Double Deluxe” is a compilation of Sims 2 games for the PC. It includes the original “Sims 2” base game, the Sims 2 “Nightlife” expansion pack and the Sims 2 “Celebration” stuff pack in one game package. The “Double Deluxe” does not include the Sims 2 “Pets” expansion pack, however. If you want to play the “Pets” expansion pack, you will need to buy and install it separately. Both games are compatible with each other, but must be installed in a certain order on your computer to work.

Insert your Sims 2 “Double Deluxe” game disc into your computer to launch installation.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the “Double Deluxe” game. You must install “Double Deluxe” before you can install the “Pets” expansion. This is because “Double Deluxe” includes the “Sims 2” base game that is required before any other expansion can be installed.

Enter the product key for your “Double Deluxe” game when prompted. This key can usually be found on the game’s manual or on your game’s box.

Register your “Double Deluxe” at the Sims 2 website if prompted.

Remove your Sims 2 “Double Deluxe” disc from your computer once you have finished installing and replace it with the Sims 2 “Pets” expansion disc.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the “Pets” expansion. You will need to enter the product key for “Pets” during the installation.

Register your “Pets” game at the Sims 2 website if prompted.

Leave the “Pets” expansion game disc in your computer. This will be the disc that your Sims 2 game needs to use while you play.

Launch your Sims 2 game using the “Pets” icon on your desktop. There may be more than one Sims 2 icon due to installing more than one version of the Sims 2 on your computer's desktop. If so, you can delete the other icon and use the one for the “Pets” expansion.
