How to Repair a Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner

Rainbow vacuum cleaners use water to perform deeper cleaning than traditional home vacuum cleaners. If you encounter problems using the rainbow vacuum cleaner unit, perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate and identify the cause of the issue. After the root of the problem has been discovered, you can often repair it yourself.

1. Make sure the cord is securely plugged in to the outlet, if the machine will not run.

2. Clean debris off the air intake screen thoroughly. A clogged intake screen will keep the vacuum from running.

3. Make sure the unit is completely latched onto the water basin if there is a loss of airflow.

4. Check the hose and wand for clogs or debris. Obstructions in the wand or hose will result in a loss of air flow.

5. Turn the power switch to the high speed setting, if the vacuum is not creating enough suction to clean the area it is in.

6. Empty the water basin and fill it with clean water if there is a discharge of dust from the unit. Low or dirty water will cause dust to discharge from the unit.
