How to Make a Hyperlink for a Web Page

How to Make a Hyperlink for a Web Page thumbnail
Making hyperlinks for web pages is simple.

Hyperlinks are words or phrases that, if users clicks on them with their cursor, takes them to a different web page. These can be very useful when you are managing a website or blog since hyperlinks can be used to lead the user along within your website or to take them to another site altogether. Making a hyperlink takes a couple of moments after you get the hang of it.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your web page in your HTML editor or a plain text editor such as Notepad.

    • 2

Find the word or phrase on your web page that you want as a hyperlink.

    • 3

Type "<a href="(WEB URL)">" before the word or phrase that you choose.

    • 4

Type </a> after the word or phrase. For example, if your word or phrase is "peanut butter makers" and your WEB URL is "http://www.ilovepeanutbutter.com", then your hyperlink will look like this: <a href="http://www.ilovepeanutbutter.com">peanut butter makers</a>.
