You can buy just about anything with your credit cards.

As electronic payments become more and more prevalent, cash is slowly disappearing from people's wallets, making it extremely important to know if a particular company accepts credit cards. Although it doesn't always make complete financial sense as to why some companies do not accept cards, some stores in fact do not, so it may behoove you to check ahead of time before attempting to make any kind of purchase if your only option is a credit card.

Instructions

    • 1

Call the the business and ask what, if any, credit cards it accepts for payments. Most places take Visa and MasterCard, but some of these may not take other cards, such as American Express.

    • 2

Look on the website when filling out a purchase order. After selecting an item on the website, proceed to the checkout, then fill out the billing information. Here it states what cards are accepted. Because it is an online business, it generally accepts credit cards (as there are few alternatives to purchase items online).

Look on the store window. Often the credit cards accepted are displayed via sticker on the front door or window.
