How to Reinstall Network Support in Windows XP

Microsoft Windows XP allows you to easily reinstall Network support on your computer. For this, you will have to first uninstall the existing Network support on your computer and then reinstall it. In addition, you should have administrator privileges on your computer to be able to make these changes.

      Click "Start" and then click "Control Panel."

      Double-click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon on the Control Panel window that opens.

      Click the "Add/Remove Windows Components" icon on the left pane of the Add or Remove Programs window that opens.

      Click to uncheck the "Networking Services" check box on the Windows Components Wizard dialog box that opens and then click the "Next" button. This will uninstall Network support from your computer.

      Insert the Microsoft Windows XP set-up CD in the CD drive of your computer.

      Repeat Step 3. Click to select the "Networking Services" check box on the Windows Components Wizard dialog box and then click the "Next" button. This will reinstall Network support on your computer.
